Our flagship product is our old-fashioned caramel popcorn, and it all started in the family kitchen.
Every year at Christmas, Vern’s mother would make her famous caramel concoction, and the kids couldn’t wait to chip in by helping to sort the popcorn by hand. When Mom poured her hot, gooey caramel over the carefully-sorted popcorn, the result was a very special Christmas treat. It brought the whole family together, and we all looked forward to it all year long!
Mom always wanted to spread the love, and so Vern and Max opened the Cracker Box Caramel Pop Wagon. Our unique drive-thru food truck is located in Lander, Wyoming.
The name “Cracker Box” comes from our sister company, Cracker Box Fireworks, which offers a variety of firecrackers. (We may not have crackers on the menu, but you’re sure to get a lot of “bang” for your buck at Cracker Box Caramel Pop!)
To this day, Vern makes every batch of caramel using the family recipe. Our caramel corn is made in small batches, never mass-produced, and all the popcorn is still sorted by hand. Love and care go into every batch, and we believe you can taste the difference.
We now offer a variety of popcorn flavors, and we’ve branched out into other delicious treats, including cotton candy, and our special Cracker Box crackle balls. We’re always working on new flavors and new innovations — at Cracker Box, we’re embracing both the past and the future of snacking!
We’re currently building our first factory and brick-and-mortar store in Lander, which will allow us to share our delightful treats with even more customers. Drop by and see us sometime!
